Biography

From a young age I always wondered why people told me things.  I thought it was because I was a good listener and could be trusted.  As I got older I noticed more and more people opened up to me.  My natural empathy and care for others encouraged this dialogue, and these skills are what encouraged me to become a therapist.  My professional background was 15+ years in Human Resources for large financial institutions in London.  I then worked in education for a number of years alongside working at Childline as a volunteer counsellor for 4 hours every Saturday morning.  I then found my ikigai and in 2021 became a qualified CBT therapist.

I chose to study CBT having seen the value of it myself, and wanted to help others, as it had helped me.  My sessions are for 50-55 minutes and are a confidential and safe space for you to share whatever is on your mind.  I have supported clients who have experienced a range of anxiety disorders, depression, eating problems, low self esteem, anger issues, and low mood.  If I don't feel I can help you, I will be honest about it, and help you to find an alternative service or support.

I am offering face to face counselling in Coatbridge, ML5 (please get in touch re availability) and also online counselling as I have discovered that many people prefer to speak to a therapist from the comfort of their own home.  Please do get in touch for more infortmation

I am a member of BABCP and BACP and as such follow their ethics and code of practice.
